It's here! It's here! Sale season is here!! (Well actually it is ending as soon as it started, should have gotten this to you guys earlier!)
Okay so it is kind of a crazy time for me to be shopping, what with school and planning the wedding and all, but I have been holding out for sale season this year... For some things I am happy to pay full price for (necessities and the "must-have now" items) and other things, well let's just say I look forward to the well deserved discounts.
Of course when moving forward with sale season it is always important to get yourself organized and ready to approach the retailers the right way. Here are some tips:
Your day for shopping must start with the right outfit. The wrong outfit will have you dodging the changing rooms and heading straight to the cash register with a pair of pants that give you pancake butt. Remember most retailers have a strict "no return" policy on sale items... Therefore you need an outfit comfortable and easy enough to slip in and out of.
Research! Whether you are shopping online or on-foot, spend the extra five minutes working out where the best discount is because, even though one store might have that jacket for 50% off, another might have taken it down by 70%.
Be smart about this! Make sure you are spending money on items that you would have bought at full price. That way if feels like a real bargain, rather than a decent deal.
Know what is coming.. It is important to think ahead in a situation like a sale. Knowing your needs is what is going to get you through completing your wardrobe at a decent buck. A winter coat... A dress for a friend's wedding... It can all be found at the right price during a good sale.
This number is to keep you focused and planned all year round. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR KEEP A LIST OF MOST WANTED AND NEEDED ITEMS FOR YOUR WARDROBE, THAT WAY YOUR WELL PREPARED BY NEXT SALE SEASON.
